Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, the French city of Puy-deDomme on August 9, 1976. Audrey Tautou is the fourth child of 4 children. Her parents, a dentist and teacher recognized and backed her love for theatre and drama at an early age, which superseded an initial desire to become a primatologist due to her passion for monkeys. The rise was swift in her career to become a famous young actress. The beginning of her career came in 1999, when she started acting professionally. After her studies, Tautou was a participant in the French talent scouting television programme Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was educated at Institut Catholique de Paris, was a churchgoer as a young girl and was brought up Catholic. However she has since gotten away from this background. Apart from her acting profession, she has also pursued modelling. She modelled in the commercials for L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and has been referred as "The Chanel Muse". An avid photographer, she produced a recent exhibition in The Arles International Festival entitled Superficial. Her work is focused on celebrities as well as fame. It also features portraits of herself and focus on journalists that have closely scrutinized Tautou following her rapid rise in stardom following Amelie. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and stardom with her major part in the film Le Fabuleux in the film d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie was a worldwide box office film that received acclaim at award ceremonies around all over the world. Amelie is the most successful French-language film in the US. After this film's success, Tautou appeared in numerous films from British dramatics like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday of fiancailles. She then moved to Hollywood with Ron Howard's direction of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code together with Tom Hanks.
