Jenna Fischer's most recognizable part is as Pam Beesly in the highly loved TV show The Office. She received 2 SAG Awards and an Emmy for her exceptional performance in the comedy's ensemble.
Her mother, Anne played in plays at church as a child that instilled a love for theater and performances in Jenna. Jenna was impressed by her mother's performance in church as she began her career.
An actress trained in theater, Fischer returned to her roots following the completion of The Office. The Off-Broadway production Reasons to Be Happy composed by Neil LaBute with Josh Hamilton and Leslie Bibb as co-stars, Fischer starred. She went on to star as the first woman to appear in Steve Martin's latest play Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking run on The Old Globe Theatre.
In October of 2019, Fischer and The Office co-star and best friend in real life Angela Kinsey launched an online podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. It has grown to been a huge success, landing on the Top Ten globally every week and registering more than 200 million downloads within its initial two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year Award in January 2021.
She's the author of The Actor's Life : A Survival Guide (coauthored with Angela Kinsey) In it, her tale of relocating between St. Louis to Hollywood as a professional actress is outlined.
